We weren’t sure what the Grammys were going to be like this year. On the one hand, we are still in the midst of a pandemic and, on the other, we have already started mass vaccination. But we are talking about celebrities. So they donned their masks while in a room together, but still shone on the red carpet in their chic Grammy looks. Let’s delight ourselves with the most memorable songs from the Grammys.
Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift decided to embrace spring in a traditional way, with floral prints. It’s not exactly innovative but it’s very sweet looking. She paired her Oscar de la Renta gown with pink Louboutin heels and a matching floral face mask.
Bad bunny
In fact, we liked the look of Bad Bunny. The shades that match the sunflower, the cute hat, the black-on-black look. Haters will hate, but we appreciate a cute outfit when we see one.
Harry styles
Harry gave us clueless vibes in that yellow Gucci checkerboard jacket and yellow loafers. Even the purple boa was a fun touch. But the beige vest under that jacket and the brown velvet pants were a questionable choice. It seemed as if she had simply put on whatever was around her as he hurried away. However, the stage costume redeemed him. That leather suit with no shirt underneath and a green boa was a hit for us.
Lizzo
Lizzo gave us mermaid vibes in her green minidress by Balmain and studded with Bvlgari diamonds. We expected more from her outfit, but she made up for it with all the jewelry.
Megan Thee Stallion
Megan Thee Stalling appeared in a striking bright orange Dolce & Gabbana dress and matching shoes. That dress is so extra that we love it. Yeah Megan, she’s got a high slit and a huge bow detail in the back, why the hell not? Not to mention all the diamonds.
Dua Lipa
Dua Lipa opted for a very shiny Versace dress. It’s semi-sheer, cuts to the thigh, and features a butterfly design on the bodice. What’s not to like? She looked a bit like young Cher, don’t you think?
Billie eilish
Billie appeared dressed in a Gucci jacquard from head to toe. And we literally mean head to toe, because the only part of her that wasn’t covered was her eyes. Billie also wore a matching bucket hat, mask, and fingerless gloves. Finneas wore a pink Gucci suit and paired it with a striped shirt, matching pink mask and black loafers.
Noah cyrus
You know you’ve taken a chance on your outfit when it immediately becomes a meme. Noah wore a very interesting Schiaparelli dress to the Grammys and immediately Twitter started comparing it to a duvet, a fitted sheet that you have a hard time folding, a crumpled tissue, etc. Some people suggested that this is what a person who accumulates toilet paper does. At the beginning of the pandemic it would wear out. But our favorite comparison was to a popped popcorn kernel.
HIS.
If there’s one surefire way to look AF cool, it’s to show up in a burgundy velvet Dundas suit, like SHE did, and accessorize it with a diamond necklace and some amazing shades. Rock star vibe achieved.
Phoebe Bridgers
We loved Phoebe’s outfit. When in doubt, just wear what you usually wear and feel comfortable with, but make it glamorous. So Phoebe took the usual skeleton jumpsuit she wears on stage and replaced it with a glamorous one from Thom Browne with beautiful embellishments.
Girl
Chika opted for style, comfort and the Grammys. We loved the pastel color palette, it gives us spring, it gives us the Easter Bunny, but it’s a Nike sweatshirt. The matching mask is also on point. Some might say it was too casual, but hey, we just spent a year cooped up at home, do you really want to wear a skintight dress or would you prefer a comfy but cute Nike ensemble?
